The Internet, by its very nature, is a global medium that touches billions of individuals whose vocabulary does not derive from the Anglo-Saxon tradition, and whose alphabet is not that of the ancient Romans. How then do we make the thing work across cultural and linguistic boundaries? How do we craft Internet-based applications that can be adapted effortlessly for use in any locale?
