Optical scanning has been applied to generate a complete 3D model of the famous "Adorazione dei Magi" by Leonardo Da Vinci in order to obtain a high quality three-dimensional digital representation. The main goal was to highlight and measure a map of deviations from planarity due to the curving and warping of the wood for documenting spatial deformation suffered by the painting and monitoring its conservation status.
