This paper discusses the design and implementation of a "Remote car Starter", this device will allow user to start his car from house, office, or school. The goal is to set up a good temperature in the car, which is going to be possible thanks to the heater and air conditioning of the automobile. The benefits of having a "remote starter" are the following:

  • Start car from distance, and being able to set it up for running 5, 10, or 15 minutes
  • Enter a car that is hot in winter, and cold in summer
  • Take care of the car, because it is always better to let the car warm up before driving
  • This paper explains the design of a "remote starter" for a 95 Volkswagen Jetta, but the concepts explained are useful for any kind of car.
