Since the amount of data representing the real world becomes large, it is essential to manage them as collections of small components in spatial databases. The basic procedure of producing virtual spaces dynamically is realized by retrieving and visualizing dynamically spatial data stored in spatial databases using the rule of LoD (Levels of Detail). This paper discusses a principle of “time” extension to LoD. The data of camera's movement were adopted as our experimental spatio-temporal data. Our prototype system “Time-Walk” based on our proposed framework is introduced with real examples.
