This paper describes the Nchiql: a Chinese natural language query system to database. With a transportable query interface to Chinese database system, it resolves the problems appearing in traditional database query system and natural language interface. We discuss three sub-systems in Nchiql: intelligent user interface, domain-knowledge extraction system and query statement using natural Chinese language processing system.
