Retrieval methods for software component repository are important for software reuse. Many researchers have done a lot of work in this field in the past fifteen years. This paper discusses the improvement of two different aspects of retrieval methods for software components. One is profile matching, the other is signature matching. We show some experimental results assessing the affect of the improvements.
