In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in various aspects of system diagnosis. This paper presents an evaluation and a comparison of two diagnosis techniques, the dicing method which is especially used in the software debugging area, and a new promising automated diagnosis method. The experiments reported in this paper show that this last method is very efficient for locating faults in software.
