A new method for modeling non-rigid objects in a multiple-camera guarded environment is proposed. The statistical model of the shape of a non-rigid object takes into account the correlations between different points of view. The model is automatically generated by processing a typical training set for the considered shape by a PCA (Principal Component Analysis) algorithm. Snakes and dynamic contours are used to describe the shape of the non-rigid object.
