In the field of digital AV equipment, the size of embedded software for the implementation of the graphical user interface (GUI) has been increasing. Also as a remote controller is used as an input device, a GUI different from that of a computer using a mouse is required. In this paper we propose an example of applying the MVC model for GUI software design intended for remote controller operation, an efficient runtime architecture in line with this design model, and development tools. We also evaluated the improvement of software productivity when using this design model and its runtime architecture.
