Here we present an approach to offer a precise panoramic image composite from panned video sequence images, which are taken by a video camera on a tripod. The varying exposure levels due to the panned view fields taken by a camera with auto iris are adjusted. Any geometrical distortions in each frame, due to camera lens and/or CCD and perspective projection, are calibrated. The interlaced video sequence images commonly used for video systems are deinterlaced in order to create a high quality panoramic image.
