Due to increasing competition, sophisticated and advanced technology solutions, specific and diversified customer requests, telecom operators need sound methodologies and software instalments to perform effective business process re-engineering on their main business processes and successfully reorganize themselves. This paper outlines an object-oriented simulation environment, called REBUS, which aims at providing a computerized tool for modelling and simulating a business process in Telcos organizations and for defining a set of alternative "what-if" scenarios, in order to permit the evaluation of any future operating choice.
