H. Adeli, Coll. of Eng., Ohio State Univ., Columbus, OH, USA
The author and his associates have been working on creating novel design theories and computational models with two broad objectives: automation and optimization. The paper is a summary of research done by the author and his associates recently. Novel neurocomputing algorithms are presented for large scale design optimization. This research demonstrates how a new level is achieved in design automation through the ingenious use and integration of a novel computational paradigm, mathematical optimization, and new high performance computer architecture.
