This paper presents a general description of the Talairach (1988) medical atlas of the human brain. We describe the method of correlating medical images based on the commissura anterior and commissura posterior reference system. Then we demonstrate applications of this correlation method. We describe the methods for localizing some areas and objects of interest in MRI data series by using the Talairach medical atlas.
