In web-based application development, user interfaces design is a major task especially on the face of changing circumstance. One important and ubiquitous task in web-based user interface design is the development of data input pages. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to address issues concerning data input page development. In this approach, data input panels can be automatically generated for all the tables in a database. Furthermore, the generated data input panels are self-adaptable to suit user interaction patterns. Based on our initial evaluation, this approach has the potential to make web based system easier to develop, more flexible to change, and easier to maintain.
