This paper discusses two schemes, CS-ESI and CSESI- F, for caching dynamically generated web pages. The schemes reduce the requests? response time by avoiding transmitting unnecessary data to users. In the schemes, web pages are partitioned into fragments of differing cacheability profiles and caching expiration time. The fragments are cached on users? PCs. A proxy runs on a user?s PC to manage the cached fragments and to assemble the fragments into pages when needed.
