The future of computing is to be a core discipline. Nearly everything in computing is cross-cutting, not only over computing applications, but over society. Systems with significant Cyber and Physical components, such as advanced transportation, electric power transmission management, advanced sensing in agriculture, and social services. To realize this future, the discipline must not only embrace all aspects of computing applications and tools, from requirements to quality over the system life cycle but also the semantics of applications [1], including socio-economic aspects of design and decision making.
