For the robust transmission of compressed video over wireless channels, a commonly used approach is unequal error protection (UEP). In order to apply UEP, data partitioning is used in many video compression standards. There are three different partition types used in data partition mode of H.264: Header information, Intra partition and Inter partition, which are called type A, B and C partition respectively.
