We develop a mode--based integrity semantics which is open for missing facts. We do so by instantiating a generic three-valued integrity semantics. We first recapitulate the latter. Based on that, we introduce and discuss the definitions for an OWA-compatible integrity semantics which caters for databases in which facts are possibly missing. We also touch upon some open issues, paraconsistency aspects and a related recent result.
