The latest trends in distributed and mobile collaboration (DMC) technologies allow people to move across organizational boundaries and continue to collaborate with others within or between organizations and communities. This report summarizes the contributions of the second IEEE International Workshop on Distributed and Mobile Collaboration (DMC) at WETICE 2004.
The DMC Workshop included 12 full papers spaning topics from Service-oriented Collaboration, Peer-to-Peer Collaboration, Mobility, and Business Process Management. The workshop results open intriguing challenges in the emerging research field of distributed collaborative systems for mobile teams.
