The paper presents the applied research on the use of multiagent technologies on semantic Web resources. The semantic Web provides the foundation for semantic architecture to support the transparent exchange of information and knowledge among collaborating ebusiness organizations. Several obstacles remain, however, for ontology-based information retrieval. In this research, a multiagent architecture aimed at addressing these issues is presented. The architecture is demonstrated in the Accommodation services domain of the Australian Tourism Industry.
