Web services are provided with different QoS, so they should be selected dynamically on composition. Most of the time, optimized selection is achieved by minimizing a certain objective function. Based on systematical analysis of objective functions, this paper emphasizes that objective function should always be based on user requirements. This paper then introduces four basic objective function styles. At last, it introduces context concept into objective function.
