This paper presents a texture based image retrieval method, called RAH, in the frequency domain. In RAH, texture features are represented as power spectral histograms of images. RAH mainly consists of two parts: the extraction of texture features based on the histogram of image power spectral in the frequency domain and the similarity measurement function based on the texture features. The experimental results indicate that RAH outperforms the traditional co-occurrence matrix texture representation.
