The reservoir can both decrease the flood peaks of downstream in flood seasons and save water for drought seasons. Digital reservoir for flood control and regulation by spatial information techniques revolves around acquiring, updating, managing and serving of data about geographical information of a reservoir to build a virtual functional reservoir that makes the flood control and regulation easier and more scientific. We give the project of the software and hardware of the management system for digital reservoir. The software is mainly composed of five modules. The hardware includes the hydrological data collection terminal based on embedded system and the mixed-mode transmission network. It analyzes the impact of the data acquisition and giving anti-jamming measures. On this base, the key techniques of management system are discussed. The project was applied in XueYe reservoir and achieved good effects.
