In the past few years, service-oriented architecture (SOA) has transitioned from a partially formed vision into a widely implemented paradigm, with Web services (WS) being the forerunners to implementing SOA-based solutions. But even though the current trend is to use Web services' standards-based nature to establish static connections between various components, businesses are starting to explore dynamic valueadded propositions, such as reuse, interoperability, and agility.
