Wearable computers should provide users with constant, useful, and usable information that they can refer to when they want and that lets them do common tasks simply. This is akin to a car's dashboard and turn signals. The author discusses how to display such data to be both useful and understandable at a glance. He also considers what actions users most often want to perform while in motion--that is, what's the mobile user's equivalent need for turn signals?
