At present, the research on the analysis of structure in mathematical expressions recognition is rare. For this, a method of structural analysis of mathematical expressions which combine baseline and operator range with syntax analysis is presented in the printed mathematical expression recognition. The experiments indicate that this method can obtain favorable results.
