In this article we analyze and model the performance of a symmetrical multiprocessor cluster. The obtained model takes into account the heterogeneity of the architecture?s communications, which allows for a better adjustment and predictive ability of the performance. We used diverse applications with different parallel schemes to check the quality of the adjustments. The adjustment of the theoretical model and the experimental results is clearly improved when we take into account the combination of various mechanisms of communication.
