Simulation grid (SimGrid) is fit for evaluation of warfare performance. Since stakeholders in warfare simulation include scenario developers, running & managing personnel and model managers, it firstly analyzed what the stakeholders would expect from SimGrid. Secondly presents a special SimGrid architecture which could be divided into three levels: application level, HLA/RTI(High Level Architecture / RunTime Infrastructure) level and model level. The architecture puts forward solutions to the problems existed in simulation resources management and in model reusability. Based on the architecture key technologies include federate design and service registration. Finally a prototype named SimGrid-HLA and its scenario illustration are presented. The SimGrid-HLA prototype concludes that SimGrid obviously can make great contribution to construct large-scale warfare simulation grid.
