This paper treats of an integrative information resource management mechanism in Aegis Grid. First, we introduce the Aegis Grid on which this mechanism is based, and then present the design and implementation of the key technologies included in the integrative information resource management mechanism, which gives an effective support to description, storage, discovery and inter-operation of resources in a large-scale distributed virtual environment. At last, a virtual environment system is presented to validate the usability of this mechanism.
