Bart Du Bois, University of Antwerp, Belgium
In the context of the workshop?s discussion on a general framework for empirical studies on reverse engineering, this paper stresses the need for an ontology of factors influencing the application of reverse engineering techniques. Through an integration of existing work, this paper proposes a tentative ontology. This work provides the first step towards an ontology facilitating communication of experimental designs and the resulting identification of relationships between experimental variables.
