When designing a large-scale system, it will be more effective to consider the system as a set of sub-system, and to design each sub-system respectively and their relations [1]. Modern manufacturing system is becoming more and more large and complex and demanding more flexibility. To consider the control of such system, it will be hard to apply the traditional centralized control because of the deficiencies in robustness and flexibility. People began to adopt the concept of decentralized control. Many researchers find that the multi-agent model is suitable for such decentralized control. Our research concerns how to apply the theory of multi-agent model to application area of autonomous distributed manufacturing system.
