Roberto Guerrieri, University of Bologna, Italy
Nanoelectronics offers the potential to develop structures which can interact with living cells, displacing them under software control and sensing their position and status. This information can be used to create new diagnostic protocols that will have a broad impact in the treatment of several important ailments. This talk provides an overview of the field and gives examples taken from a specific platform based on silicon technology.
