The CERN?s Technical Control Room has implemented a method used to define the monitoring information that is necessary to efficiently restart an accelerator after a major breakdown [1]. This method is the basis for the development of a set of monitoring views, which must follow accurate rules in order to be easily understood and efficiently used by the control room operators.
