Stochastically enhanced timed automata are used to model components of r eal-time systems. These automata components can be combined and r eplaced as required, but only with other automata.A new technique is presented which allows an automaton to be mapped onto a java-bean, which can then be combined with other java-beans and components using known techniques. A system known as STINGRAE is used as an example of this technique.
