Technical Committee on VLSI
The TC on VLSI (TCVLSI) addresses the interaction between the semiconductor process and system design on VLSI. Emphasis falls on integrating the design, fabrication, application, and business aspects of VLSI from both hardware and software points of view. The TC sponsors conferences, special sessions, and workshops for the Computer Society.
HAWAII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SYSTEM SCIENCES (HICSS-41)
The HICSS series of conferences has become a unique and respected forum in computer and information systems and technology for the exchange of ideas among the researchers and development communities around the world. This reputation derives from the high quality papers and active discussions and interaction which the conference facilitates and promotes. The four program components which specifically contribute to the quality and the interaction are Minitracks, and Symposia, Workshops, and Tutorials.
15th IEEE International Conference on Engineering of Computer-Based Systems (ECBS 2008)
The emerging discipline of ECBS is devoted to the design, development, deployment, and analysis of complex systems whose behavior is largely determined or controlled by computers. CBSs are characterized by functional, performance, and reliability requirements that mandate the tight integration of information processing and physical processes. ECBS encompasses many facets: system modeling, requirements specification, simulation, architectures, communications, safety, security, reliability, software, hardware, human computer interfacing, system integration, verification and validation and project management.
ECBS is the integration of several engineering disciplines including software, hardware, and communications into a complete systems engineering discipline. The conference provides a bridge between industry and academia; the program will provide a balanced view of academic research and industrial developments.

Parallel Architectures for Artificial Neural Networks
Paradigms and Implementations
An excellent reference for neural networks research and application, this book covers the parallel implementation aspects of all major artificial neural network models in a single text. Parallel Architectures for Artificial Neural Networks details implementations on various processor architectures built on different hardware platforms, ranging from large, general purpose parallel computers to custom built MIMD machines.
FPGAs in a Custom Computing Machine
This title details the complete Splash 2 project-the hardware and software systems, the architecture and their implementations, and the design process by which the architecture evolved from an earlier version machine. In addition to the description of the machine, this book explains why the machine has been engineered in the way it has. It illustrates several applications in detail, allowing you to gain an understanding of the capabilities and the limitations of this kind of computing device.

IEEE Micro, a bimonthly publication of the IEEE Computer Society, reaches an international audience of microcomputer and microprocessor designers, system integrators, and users. Readers want to increase their technical knowledge of computers and peripherals; systems, components, and subassemblies; communications, instrumentation, and control equipment; and software.
IEEE Design & Test of Computers offers original works describing the methods used to design and test electronic product hardware and supportive software. The magazine focuses on current and near-future practice, and includes tutorials, how-to articles, and real-world case studies. Topics include IC/module design, low-power design, electronic design automation, design/test verification, practical technology, and standards. IEEE Design & Test of Computers is published by the IEEE Computer Society in technical cosponsorship with the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
The IEEE Transactions on Computers is a monthly publication with a wide distribution to researchers, developers, technical managers, and educators in the computer field. It publishes papers, brief contributions, and comments on research in areas of current interest to the readers. These areas include, but are not limited to, the following: a) computer organizations and architectures; b) operating systems, software systems, and communication protocols; c) real-time systems and embedded systems; d) digital devices, computer components, and interconnection networks; e) specification, design, prototyping, and testing methods and tools; f) performance, fault tolerance, reliability, security, and testability;
g) case studies and experimental and theoretical evaluations; and h) new and important applications and trends.
Design and realization of microelectronic systems using VLSI/ULSI technologies require close collaboration among scientists and engineers in the fields of systems architecture, logic and circuit design, chips and wafer fabrication, packaging, testing and systems applications. Generation of specifications, design and verification must be performed at all abstraction levels, including the system, register-transfer, logic, circuit, transistor and process levels.
IEEE Computer Architecture Letters is a quarterly forum for fast publication of new, high-quality ideas in the form of short, critically refereed, technical papers.
Submissions are accepted on a continuing basis, and accepted letters will be published immediately in the IEEE Digital Library and in the next available print issue. Members of the Technical Committee on Computer Architecture will receive the print issue as a benefit of being a member. Authors should submit their manuscript through Manuscript Central.
Submissions are welcomed on any topic in computer architecture, especially but not limited to:
- Microprocessor and multiprocessor systems
- Microarchitecture and ILP processors
- Workload characterization
- Performance evaluation and simulation techniques
- Compiler-hardware and operating system-hardware interactions
- Interconnect architectures
- Memory and cache systems
- Power and thermal issues at the architecture level
- I/O architectures and techniques
