2018 Computer Society Election

The Official 2018 IEEE Computer Society Election Results is now available in the Press Room and will be included in the Computer's December issue.

Within each category, candidates are listed in alphabetical order on the website. Election of officers to one-year terms and of Board members to three-year terms, each beginning 1 January 2019, will be by vote of the membership, as specified in the bylaws.

Note that the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors recently approved amendments to Bylaws Article II Nominations and Elections. The amendments reduced the number of annually elected Board member positions from 7 to 6, and the total number of elected Board members changing from 21 to 18 members.

Only Computer Society members without an email address in their member record, or those who have opted out of IEEE email communications, will receive a paper ballot package. Those who receive paper ballots should return them by mail using the business reply envelope provided or to the IEEE Technical Activities, ATTN: SGA, 445 Hoes Lane, PO Box 1331, Piscataway, NJ 08855-1331, USA.  All other members will receive a broadcast email message from sender "ieee-computervote@ieee.org" with voting instructions to access their Web ballot package information and voting link.  

Members and graduate student members in all regions can vote via the secure website. (Note undergraduate students are not eligible to vote).  IEEE Account username/password is required to access the online ballot.  For quick reference, your username is <your email address>.  If you do not remember your password, you may retrieve it on the voter login page.

Voting for the IEEE Computer Society's candidates will run from Monday, 6 August 2018 until 12:00 Noon EDT USA / 16:00 UTC Time on Monday, 24 September 2018.
